Green River Cliffs of Wyoming by George Porter after Thomas Moran, acrylic on canvas, 60" X 20", is a study by fine artist George Porter of two master paintings by Thomas Moran of the Hudson River School. Currently on exhibit and available for purchase in the Extreme Sizes Exhibit, July 10-28, 2016 at Oregon Society of Artists, 2185 SW Park Place, Portland, OR 97205.
Combining elements found in two of Moran's oil paintings: Green River of Wyoming and Green River Cliffs Wyoming, the artist has added figures of Native American people and horses to his version, which he rendered in Chroma Atelier Artists Acrylics in a luminist style to bring out the glowing colors in the landscape. Please contact George Porter for more information.

Fine artist George Porter created Andy in the Mountains as a study of Albert Bierstadt's famous In the Mountains. A gift for his daughter, it was painted in loving memory of Andy Andy Bo Bandy, her chestnut thoroughbred gelding and eventing champion, who died tragically on May 21, 2014. On the far shore you can see the artist's daughter on Andy watching, dressed for a dressage event, as Andy now leaves this world, galloping wild and free in the right foreground. Behind him, his grandfather, Seattle Slew, can be seen in the rocks watching over the newborn foal. Patiently waiting in the light-filled clouds above, a heavenly Andy waits for the artist's daughter who will always and forever be his "person". Andy you were magnificent and you are missed every day.

Paris Street Scene, oil on canvas was painted by fine artist George Porter following a trip to Paris in 1988, after seeing the original painting hanging in a restaurant in Lake Oswego, Oregon in the 1990's.
Paris Street Scene first debuted in the artist's first solo exhibit at Stone Center, Inc. in SE Portland: "After the Masters: Light in the Landscape", May 1 - Nov 30, 2015. The painting was created for the artist's daughter and is part of her private collection. It is not available for purchase; however, a fine art giclée of Paris Street Scene is available for purchase. For giclée pricing, or to commission a new painting, please contact George Porter.
