Painted on location in the 2016 Lake Oswego Plein Air Paint Out on September 24, 2016, fine artist George Porter has captured the beautiful fields of Luscher Farm in Lake Oswego Oregon on one of the prettiest early autumn days of the year. This bucolic scene is painted in lovely light colors with a delicate hand creating a watercolor-like effect with layers of washes in acrylic. One of three landscape paintings by George Porter that will be on exhibit and available for purchase at the Arts Council of Lake Oswego, 510 Museum & ARTSpace, 510 First Street, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97034 from October 7-28, 2016. Painted on location at Lake View Village in Lake Oswego, Oregon on September 25, 2016 while participating in the 2016 Lake Oswego Plein Air Paint Out sponsored by the Arts Council of Lake Oswego, fine artist George Porter has captured a happy and colorful scene of clowns painting children's faces in the common area overlooking the lake. This 12" X 12" painting, rendered in acrylic on canvas, will be on display at the Arts Council of Lake Oswego's 510 Museum and ARTSpace, 510 First Street, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97034 in the juried group fine art show, Lake Oswego Plein Air Exhibit, from October 7-28, 2016. Canyon Lights, acrylic on canvas

Recently completed, Canyon Lightsacrylic on canvas36" X 48", is an original acrylic painting by George Porter. It depicts a view from Cape Royal on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon at sunset. On the left, the arching towers of Wotans Throne rise majestically towards an active cloud-filled sky colored scarletorangemagentapurple and yellow from the setting sun. On the right, a lone Condor flies over the canyon valley towards the viewer.
