In the original commissioned painting, fine artist George Porter combined modern images of dance with figurative elements from paintings by impressionist master painter Edgar Degas, all drawn and beautifully painted by Porter using masterful brushwork to make the acrylic paint blend in ways that resemble the lovely soft pastels favored by Degas.
